Handmade Rugs by the Dixon Carpet Company

Graham’s interest in different manufacturing processes included a host of rugs made by the Dixon Carpet Company (formerly V’Soske Joyce) with designs by Knuttel. The colours were fabulously vivid - fiery scarlets, canary yellows and electric blues vied for your attention. It felt almost like a crime to stand on them, though the sumptuous pile made you think you are walking on air. Most were destined to be hung on proud owners’ walls though Knuttel didn’t mind if they were used as carpets. Knuttel would usually add the caveat that none of them “would last 10 minutes as a carpet in my house”.

Limited edition of 10 per Rug

Each piece is made to order, with delivery typically within 8–10 weeks of confirmation. A 50% deposit secures production, with the balance payable on delivery.
